Horse/Animal Rescue and Advocacy 

  1. American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign-A non-profit organization with a goal to protect America’s wild horses and burros by stopping the federal government’s systematic elimination of these national icons from our public lands.  They also address maltreatment of those in captivity in holding facilities: http://wildhorsepreservation.org
  2. Farm Sanctuary-Their goal is to protect farm animals from cruelty, inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and promote compassionate vegan living: http://www.farmsanctuary.org
  3. Pregnant Mare Rescue-a 501(c)(3) all volunteer horse sanctuary committed to rehabilitating abused horses, advocating for humane treatment of horses and providing a safe haven and loving care, with horses available for adoption to excellent homes: http://pregnantmarerescue.org
  4. REINS (Red's Equines in Need)-is another California Registered Charity and a Federally recognized 501(c)(3) located at the southern most part of Silicon Valley in Hollister, California. REINS is an all volunteer, non-profit recently established in response to local equine abuse cases in Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and elsewhere in Santa Clara County.  They provide safe haven and loving care, with horses available for adoption to excellent homes.: http://helpreins.org 
  5. Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue-the 501(c)3 dog rescue organization connected with REINS.  These are wonderful dogs and there are dogs available for adoption to excellent homes: http://ridgeback.org

Healing Circles for Animals and the Planet-created and facilitated by my fabulous friend, Cathy O'Brien, a group of healers/practitioners and others who learn healing techniques/join together to heal animals and the planet.
